Fall Speaker Series: What’s good? What’s right? What’s up?

October 18, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

“Religious ‘Nones,’ the Church, and the Changing Face of Activism”

Young adults across the country are engaged in community service and political activism, yet many (most?) are no longer taking part in organized religion.  Does that matter?  Considering that the most significant trends today are charged with moral issues, what is the implication of these “religious nones”?  What role can the rest of us play?  Join professor; author Ann W. Duncan for a fascinating hour.

Ann W. Duncan (Ph.D., University of Virginia) is Associate Professor of Religion and Director of the Center for Geographies of Justice at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD.  Her research and teaching focus on intersections of religion and public life including religion and politics, new religious movements, the religious “nones” and motherhood and American Christianity.

Supper at 6:00 p.m.; program begins at 7:00 p.m.

Sign-up for supper here.  Attending the lecture only? Just come! No sign-up needed.
