Learn How To Save Pollinators. Save Water. Save the Earth.

March 29, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Come enjoy a 90-minute film screening of Hometown Habitat: Stories of Bringing Nature Home of gardens that have been transformed into havens for beneficial insects by using native plant species. The film is narrated by renowned entomologist Doug Tallamy, PhD, of the University of Delaware.  Join us for this special opportunity to learn what flowering plants, grasses and ferns, bushes and trees you can use to attract and support our native birds, bees and butterflies on your own property. You’ll see examples of beautiful native plant gardens that have been created in lawns and yards, not only for beauty but also to maintain the health of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.   We’ll have prize drawings from Greenfields Nursery, Schneider’s Hardware, Ace Hardware and gift certificates to the native plant sale on April 6. Free babysitting is available!
